About Me

Tyler Kennedy is an emerging Sydney based artist and graphic designer. Her artistic practice revolves around the concepts of anatomy and the intricacies of relationships to the body. Her primary mediums are that of oil painting, coloured pencil, and collage. The constructed glamour of 1920s-40s actresses are a particular area of interest, especially when combined with warped bodily forms. The augmentation of such carefully sculpted beauty into something more sinister or uncanny is a balance that Kennedy tries to capture in her work.

Kennedy has experience in branding, logo, and print publishing design. She has been a freelance graphic designer for 5+ years and has worked with companies such as Context Media.

Kennedy was shortlisted for Art Express in 2015, she was also the winner of the P&C acquisition program, where her major work was bought and exhibited by the organisation. Kennedy graduated from UNSW Art & Design (previously COFA) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours.
